That’s just one of the beautiful messages Deanna Beech expresses through her relatable characters, and the realistic dialogue in this story. The reader follows a young child through everyday life events, while learning important and valuable coping mechanisms to negative situations, lessons about humanity, being optimistic in difficult times, and feeling good about being a good person, which can be difficult for young children to understand. The realism of the situations, as well as the strong, dynamic characters, compels the reader to reflect on their own life throughout the book.
